John 19:16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.
KJV
They “Led Him away”. Who led Jesus away, who led Jesus? Jesus was led by the will of the Father. (John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.) Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit. (Matt 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.) Other than the Father and the Holy Spirit no one led Jesus to do anything. As Jesus was left the garden that night, with the mob around Him, as Jesus stood first before Pilate and then before Herod, as Jesus went to Calvary, as Jesus hung on the cross, as Jesus died for our sins, as His blood flowed, as Jesus was placed in the tomb, as Jesus rose from the dead on that third day, as Jesus ascended back into haven, no man led Jesus. No man led or took or made Jesus do anything. Why is this important? Because Jesus willingly came to this world, became a man without ceasing to be God, gave His life on the cross and then took it back again so salvation could be offered to all. Jesus did it all, no man led Him. I thank my Savior today that He did it all. Do you know Him as your Savior today?
