What are we as born again believers in this day called to awake to? We need to wake up and walk circumspectly. The word means to be diligent and perfect, to have a conscientious walk. This walk needs to be according to the Word of God. So many today seem to take the word of anyone or anything over the Word of God even though we have been given a perfect and eternal Word to follow. The Bible is to be the light that is shed on our path through this world. (Ps 119:105-106 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. 106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.) If God ever said it is wrong then it is still wrong and we ought not do those things. If God ever said it is right then it is still right and we need do those things. If God ever said it was sin it is still sin. God’s Word is perfect, it is eternal, and that goes for both the Old and New Testaments. I talk to many today who want to do things that the Bible clearly speaks against and they use the argument that God said those things 2,000 years ago, or 4,000 years ago, so times have changed. Times do change but God does not and we need to wake up and not be so foolish as to think God will approve things that He has condemned.
