19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The Great Commission is given five times in the New Testament, in each of the gospels and here in Acts chapter one. Yet this seems to be what many Christians find so difficult to fulfill, to tell others about Jesus, who He is and what He has done for all of us. God knew this would seem to be a daunting task so with each time the commission is given it comes with a promise. Notice the promises above for those who will tell others about our Savior and the way of salvation. First, His presence is promised in Matt 28:20. We will never be left to tell another about Jesus no matter the circumstance or surroundings, His presence is with us always. Christian depend upon His presence to protect and guide you in what to say and do because He has promised He will be there. Second, He has promised power in Acts 1:8. I am not a very powerful person, I could easily be overcome, but Jesus has promised His power when I tell others about Him. The one who spoke this world into being, the one who rose from the grave, the one who holds all in His mighty hand has promised His power when I tell others about Him. Remember the promises the next time you have an opportunity to tell others about Jesus and we should find it easier to be a witness for our Lord.
