February 28th, 2025 by Pastor SolleyPs 62:1-5 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.
4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
KJV
What are you expecting today and who are you expecting it from? Far too often we expect things from the world when the world has nothing for us. Far too often we expect things from people who were never able to meet those expectations. Often we expect the worse in a situation and cause undue worry and concern. But what if our expectations are centered on the Lord? What if we simply wait on the Lord? What if we just placed all in the capable hands of our Savior? What if we followed the direction of this beautiful Psalm? (Ps 62:6-8 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.) Then are expectations would all be fulfilled for our God is a perfect God and our God is always good.
