Gen 49:22-24 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
KJV
This chapter records the last words of Jacob before he dies to his sons and is both a prophecy and blessing. What stands out to me among other things in this chapter is the hands of Joseph made strong by the mighty God of Jacob. This we see in the life of Joseph over and over again as he had remained faithful to God, found strength in his God, and then was rewarded by his God. Who is strengthening your hands today? In a day and age when we need much strength who is strengthening your hands today? Look at the lives of the other men in this chapter and you see them fall and fail many times, but not Joseph. Why? Because Joseph walked close to the one who was able to strengthen his hands. Joseph spent time with the one able to strengthen his hands. Joseph served the one able to strengthen his hands. Joseph prayed to the one able to strengthen his hands. Who will strengthen your hands today? Why not walk close to the one who is able to do just that?
