James 4:13-17 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

It continues to amaze me how drastically and quickly life can change in a moment of time. We make plans for tomorrow, for next month, for next year, and there is nothing wrong with that because we should look ahead. But not too far ahead and those plans should never br written in stone. Only our God knows what lies ahead for us in this day alone. What we need to do is place this day and the days that lie ahead in the capable hand of our savior for only He knows what tomorrow is going to bring. As a pastor I have at times been asked what is my five year or ten year plan and the verse people use is in proverbs. (Prov 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.) My answer has always been and continues to be “I have no five or ten year plan, I just pray the Lord Jesus Christ guide me through this day alone and give me strength and wisdom to walk with Him.” What is you plan today?
