Abraham was a man God knew and trusted. God is looking for such men today to be leaders in the home. Lets see another man God knew and trusted. (Matt 1:18-19 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.) Abraham was given a great responsibility and then Joseph even a greater one. What did God know about Joseph? That he was a just man. First justified by God because of his faith. Joseph had saving faith first and foremost and that faith great enough that he believed and trusted God. What Joseph was told by the angel was impossible but the message came from God and Joseph believed. What God gave Joseph to do, watching over the very Son of God from the time of His coming into the world until Joseph was taken home was impossible as well. The very powers of hell would be attacking the home of Joseph in order to destroy Jesus and it would be impossible for Joseph to stand against Satan and his demon force. But Joseph believed, trusted, and depended upon God’s power, protection, and leading in his life. God knew Joseph. God is looking for the same thing today in Christian husbands and fathers as He was in Abraham and Joseph. I am no Abraham or Joseph, but God is looking for something in me as well as in every other man today and God is looking for what He saw in Joseph. What does God see in me, what does God know about me today? What does God see, what does God know about you today?
