March 28th, 2024 by Pastor SolleyNeh 4:1-2 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.
2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of Samaria, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned?

The wall of Jerusalem was rebuilt, the gates were repaired, the temple restored. Satan did all he could to destroy that city, wipe out God’s people, and keep the temple in ruins. But God gave the vision and the power to restore and at that time God used Nehemiah in that great work. Satan continues to fight against the children of God today, to break down and to destroy. It was a city and a people at that time, it is the individual Christian today that comes under attack. (1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:) I see many fall to the enemy of our faith just as Jerusalem for a time fell. But our hope is the same as the hope of Nehemiah, our hope and power is in the Lord Jesus Christ. Nehemiah knew Jehovah God and we know Jesus and they are one in the same. The same vision and power imparted to Nehemiah is ours today if we look to the Lord as that good man did. Have you suffered defeat today, does it seem that your spiritual life is in ruins? Then look to the one who can revive and restore, look to the one who can rebuild and make you strong today. Look to Jesus just as Nehemiah did and you will find the same victory that he did as well.
