Ps 46:10-11 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
KJV
How often do we stop and be still today? In this fast paced world, in a world where everything and anything is at our fingertips, how often do we stop and be still? We find the importance of stopping and being still in the Word of God. Often we seem to be so busy that we have no time, we find ourselves running to and for, we want more hours in the day. What does God tell us to do? Be still, be still, be still. (Ps 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.) Take some time to be still before God today. Take some time to put everything you have to do behind you and be still before God today. Take the smart phone and put it away, turn off social media and the PC and the TV and be still before God today. It is when we are still that God can speak to us, it is when we are still that we can feel the leading of the Holy Spirit, it is when we are still that God can move. Take some time to be still today.
