Song 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
KJV
The only place these little foxes are found in the Bible and they differ from the fox that we know today. They were small enough to fit under a shallow place in the ground beneath the wall that surrounded the vineyard or through a small crack in that wall and they would eat away at the new growth on the vine or even the tender roots of a newly planted vine and could destroy what would be a beautiful and fruitful harvest. Those little foxes seemed so harmless but they could do great harm and damage. We need to watch out for the little foxes sent our way by Satan to harm and destroy what could be a bountiful and beautiful Christian life. Things that seem harmless but keep us from time with our Lord and Savior. Things that seem harmless but keep us from serving the Lord. Things that seem harmless but hinder growth in our Christian life. What little fox is trying to get into your life and destroy you today? Satan does walk about as that roaring lion seeking whom he can devour. But he also comes as that little fox that seems so harmless and also destroys and devours. Watch out for the little foxes.
