March 11th, 2024 by Pastor SolleyRom 13:11-13 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
KJV
Time to awake out of sleep. This time change into daylight savings time always seem to mess me up. Already past 7:30AM and just getting out of bed, the day is at hand. But good sleep often does us good physically. The danger is always present of falling into a deep sleep spiritually and there is a different day at hand. As we think then this morning of the soon return of the Lord Jesus Christ, first for His own and then seven years later after the tribulation with His own, we need be awake. Many who know Jesus as personal savior seem to be asleep today when we need to be the most active for the Lord. Those lost in sin are certainly asleep thinking that this world will go on forever and ever just like it is. It is time to awake and be busy in the work of the Lord. What does the Lord want us to do? Perhaps the first thing Jesus will ask about as far as serving and living for Him when we get to heaven is the last thing He said before ascending back into heaven taking His place at the right hand of the Father. “Go y into all the world and preach the gospel”….Are you telling others about their need for salvation as we see the fast approaching day?
