Isa 49:13-16 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
KJV
There are times when God’s children feel that they have been forgotten as we see in verse fourteen above. Not some of God’s children, all of God’s children will feel that way from time to time. It is because of the enemy we face, the world we live in, and our flesh that we deal with. Satan attacks, this world is a sinful and evil place, and our flesh is weak and all three can at times make us feel all alone in this world. But what does our God tell us? He will never forget us and we are as if graven upon the palms of His hands. Think of how many times each day you will use your hands, how many times each day you will see your hands. It is constant, every waking hour and even when we sleep we use our hands. Now we have this picture that each time the hand of God moves He sees us, knows our needs, knows all about us and when His hand moves He has us continually before Him. The next time you feel all alone look at your hands and be reminded that you are in the hands of God.
