January 16th, 2024 by Pastor SolleyGen 26:24 And the Lord appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.
Acts 18:10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
KJV
Eleven times the underlined phrase above appears in the Bible. The first time God assuring Isaac, the last time Paul. How great and precious that promise must have been to those men, how assuring, how calming that promise must have been. Those things remain true for the child of God today. The same God that was with Isaac, that was with Paul, has promised to be with us and to never, never leave us. (Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.) Why not carry that promise with you today? If one tends to forget why not write it down and place it in your pocket? Why not carry a Bible so you can read it? Why not carry that promise with you today? None of us at this hour of the morning know exactly what this day will hold. For any of us our lives could drastically change by the end of the day. But one thing will not change, will never change, “I am with thee”. Why not carry that promise with you today?
