Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
KJV
Are you ready for Christmas? That is the question of the season. Are you ready for Christmas or have you put things off until the last minute? Here is a more important question; are you ready to stand before that Son that was given. (2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.) In answer to that first question we know when Christmas is, we know the day we celebrate the giving of the Son of God into this world, Dec. 25th. I must be ready by Dec. 25th for Christmas. In answer to the second question I have no idea when that day will be, none of us do. How foolish it would be than for me to out off anything I need to do to be ready to meet Jesus Christ today. Are you saved, are you born again? Is that something you have chosen to put off until a more convenient time? A Roman ruler named Felix did that and that time never came. (Acts 24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.) Felix was told of Jesus Christ, realized he was not righteous before God, knew he needed salvation and then put that decision off until a more convenient time. What a foolish thing that man did and he lost that opportunity to be saved. Did a more convenient time ever come? Not that we know. Are you ready to meet the Son of God today, are you ready to stand before Jesus Christ in judgment? That is a much more important question than if you re ready for Christmas 2023. Are you ready for eternity?
