15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

A vital step in entering into the close relationship with my heavenly Father which He wants me to have and makes available to be is me trusting Him. I remember the trust I had in my earthly father and although he was not perfect as my heavenly Father is I always knew he was looking out for me and was always acting for my good. I trusted my dad. I also need to trust my heavenly Father. This type of trust is put in display in Gen 22. (Gen 22:7-11 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? 8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. 9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. 11 And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.) Most people think Isaac was a very young boy at this time but that is not the case. Isaac was a young man and one old enough and strong enough to overpower Abraham at his advanced age. Isaac was able to carry the materials for sacrifice up that mountain and before that they were carried by a donkey. Isaac was a man and not a boy. Isaac then trusted Abraham with his very life laying himself upon that altar, allowing Abraham to bind him and was allowing Abraham to kill him in sacrifice. That was the trust Isaac had in Abraham and that is the way we need to trust our heavenly Father, with our very life. Do you trust God that much? Very few Christians can say that they do and that is the very reason that very few Christians enter into the close relationship that God has for us. Begin to trust Him today with your life, every part of it.
