Rom 8:14-17 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

There is a closeness to God found in verse fifteen that is set before us with the word “Abba” in the verse. It is a word that does not give itself to translation from Greek to English so it says what it is “Abba”. The English letters are the Greek letters as well and it points to a very close relationship with God the Father. God makes this relationship available to all through the salvation that is found in Jesus Christ. To be close to God the Father one must receive His Son as their personal savior. (John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.) This relationship with God is exclusive, it is open to all but not all can have it. Why? Because one must first be born again and that comes with faith and trust in Jesus Christ. (John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.) Jesus died for you, died for all, will save you, will save all, but you must repent of sin and ask in faith and believing for Jesus to forgive and save you. Then and only then is the close relationship with God the Father available to you. I want to look at this relationship for the next few days but salvation in Jesus Christ is the first step. Are you saved today? Are you born again? Only when one has realized they are a sinner and short of the glory of God is that possible. (Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) Only when one has repented is that possible.
(Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:) Only after one has asked it that possible. (Rom 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.) Do you want that close relationship with God today? Then you must be saved today? Salvation is the first step you need to take.
