Isa 49:13-16 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
14 But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.
15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
KJV
Just thinking this morning of how closely God watches over us, His concern for His children, how much of God’s attention we have every moment of every day and night. We are graven on the palms of His hands, our walls continually before Him. The Hebrew word for wall in this verse points to a wall of protection. God is never out of touch with His child, we are in His hands, and He does protect us from the enemy that stands ever before us. It is not that we are removed from the spiritual battle that goes on about us, not that bad things cannot take place in our lives, not that we will never have heartache and sorrow in this world, not that these physical bodies will not wear out and break down. But we have one who cares for us, one in whose hands we are safely held, and one who does place a wall of protection around us that even Satan cannot break through. Whatever you might be going through today remember one is watching over you, one is protecting you and that every time His hand moves He sees your name and you do have His complete attention.
