October 24th, 2023 by Pastor Solley1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
KJV
Four times in the Bible, all in the New Testament, we are met with the phrase “Faithful saying”. All of the Word of God is true, all of the Word of God is faithful, but four times we are directed to see a faithful saying. The fist in our verse this morning. How thankful we need to be that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Why? Because we are all sinners. (Rom 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) We all live under the death sentence of sin. (Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:) Almost 8,000 people die each day in the United States. Almost 8,000 people per day prove the Bible to be true. Almost 8,000 people per day step into eternity, into heaven or hell each day. I wonder how many of them know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior? Jesus died on that cross for each one who will die today and none who die this day need be lost to an eternity in hell. But for one to escape hell and gain heaven they must be born again. They must come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Do you know Him today? Have you repented of sin today and asked Jesus and Jesus alone to save you? This is a faithful saying, Jesus died for all, Jesus died for you.
