John 6:20-21 But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.
21 Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.

Where are you trying to go? I wonder at times while I am driving down a highway where is everyone going? Of course I wonder this while I am going somewhere. People are always on the move today, but where are they going? We find the disciples in our reading this morning got where they were going after Jesus was in the ship. If you take time to read the proceeding verses you find that they could get nowhere until Jesus was with them, until Jesus settled the storm that they were in, until Jesus guided them. The same today as people are always on the go but seem to be getting nowhere. People are rushing to get someplace but never seem to arrive if you would. What we need today is to be sitting with Jesus in the ship of our lives. We need Jesus to settle the storms of our lives and to guide us on our way. Problem is that few of us want to wait on the Lord, few of us want Jesus at the help of our ship, and that causes us to run to and fro as the Bible states. Where are you trying to go in life? Let Jesus be your guide, let Jesus settle you.
