October 4th, 2023 by Pastor SolleyJohn 6:1-5 After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
2 And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.
3 And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
4 And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

How many questions does one face in a day, how many answers does one need to come up with and how many decisions does one need to make? Those things begin the moment we wake up and do not end until we fall asleep at night. No matter our position in life our days are filled with questions and decisions. Jesus here asked a question and Philip was left trying to come up with an answer. (He did not come up with the correct answer.) Did you know Jesus never asked a question of which He did not know the answer? My point this morning is why don’t we take every question, every decision we must make to the Lord and then wait for His answer before we move on? Philip could have just placed that problem in the very capable hands of Jesus and waited on the Lord. Instead he told Jesus the situation was helpless when it was certainly not. (John 6:7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.) We may very well be faced with questions we cannot answer today as not one of us knows what this day will hold. Why not place those questions and decisions we must make in the capable hands of Jesus?
