If you believe as I do that prayer is the most powerful thing in this world then it is good to have people praying for you. I often receive calls throughout the week from people asking for prayer. There are some prayer warriors that I call asking for specific prayer. Prayer is the most powerful thing available to the child of God, the most powerful thing in this world. What a blessing it is then to find out that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, spends time praying for us. We know this about the prayers of Jesus. (John 11:41-42 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.) The Father hears the prayers of the Son. God the Father answers the prayers of the Son. (John 11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.) Jesus has great power in a spoken word. (Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.) Why not then ask in prayer for His help in prayer, why not ask Jesus for help and strength in time of need? Jesus is the one who makes intercession for us before the throne of God the Father. (Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.) When you do have a need why not pray, pray first, pray always, why not pray? And why not pray for one another? Prayer is not the least you can do for someone, it is the most.
