14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

Yesterday we noted that the pity of the Father in heaven is different than the pity of an earthly father or of any other on earth as well. Our God is willing and able to help in our time of need. Why not then turn to the one who can help us when we feel that we are in need of some pity? We all get that way from time to time. No one understands us, no one feels the way we do, no one is going through what we are going through, there is no one to help us. We all feel that way from time to time. Instead of looking for one to pity us in this world why not go to the one who can really help us? Our Lord is from everlasting to everlasting. (Verse 17) There is nothing that God does not understand, there is nothing that we go through that Jesus Christ has not. (Heb 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.) So why not turn to the Lord when I feel in need of some pity? We have that open invitation. (Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.) Today when you feel in need of some pity get on your knees before the God of heaven and find that grace and mercy that you need. Our God is from everlasting to everlasting.
