Daily Devotions

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Our focus today is on all the teachers and helpers who put so much time and effort into our Vacation Bible School. Many long hours went into the planning for and decorations for our VBS. Our church has been transformed into a place the children, adults as well, are in awe of. Then we have the crafts. Hours of preparation went into cutting out crafts, getting painting materials ready and then helping the children each day. The workers spend mush more time on the crafts than the children. The teachers and helpers in the classrooms. Three hours each day need be filled and they are. Skits to begin each day are written and then presented. Cookies and snacks brought in and then they are made ready for each class by willing workers. And then prayer and more prayers each day. Is it all worth it? Once again we let Jesus answer that question for us. (Matt 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.) What a blessing for this pastor to see so many others who have the same burden as Jesus for the young people.
