Mark 10:13-16 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Our week is off to a good start with a good number of children especially in the two youngest classes. Some wonder if little ones can grasp spiritual things and I am reminder that Timothy was brought to Jesus from the time he was a babe in his mothers arms. (2 Tim 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.) The Greek word for child in this verse points to one that is a baby. When is it too soon to be introduced to Jesus? Those young ones listen so intently, are moved so easily by what surrounds them, so why not surround them with the gospel and Jesus Christ? We also have several older ones who are with us for the fist time and we pray that the Holy Spirit would get hold of them this week and they would get saved. Continue to pray as prayers were answered yesterday and we are off to a good start for our week.
