Matt 19:13-15 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

We begin our week of Vacation Bible School at the church in just a few hours and I wonder, has there ever been a time when children need to be introduced to Jesus Christ at an early age than today? Satan has always been after the young people, has always wanted to keep them from Jesus, has always wanted to destroy them and see them in hell one day with him. In our text this morning some children were brought to Jesus, we don’t know how many, and the disciples thought Jesus too busy to bother with them. We note the response of Jesus in verse fourteen. Jesus knew the importance of those young ones being brought to Him at that time and Jesus knows the importance of it today. Today it is not the disciples trying to keep them away that breaks the heart of God but the indifference of parents. Children are put in every worldly activity that can be thought of today and the spiritual things they need are denied. As we see the younger generations being lost I pray for them and I also pray that parents will wake up and see what is happening to them. I pray that parents would realize the great weight of responsibility they have and bring those ones to Jesus Christ. Those ones in verse thirteen were not indifferent to the needs of their children as they brought them to Jesus and Jesus readily received them. Please pray for us today and I will give a report each morning this week.
