John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
KJV
Our last stop in our look at this phrase be of good cheer is in the book of Acts. (Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.) Here we see the Lord Jesus Christ standing by Paul as he served his savior day by day. We are never left alone in this world, Jesus is always with us no matter what. But a special presence of the Lord can be felt when we are found walking in His will and serving Him. One who has never felt His presence has never stood with Him. One who has never felt His presence has never spoken for Him. One who has never felt His presence has never sought it. Paul could feel the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ with Him even as he was on his way to Rome, even in that storm on the sea, Paul could feel the presence of the Lord. Can you feel His presence today? If not take some time to get apart and alone with the Lord asking for Him to reveal His will, asking Him to allow you to be used in His work, asking Him to make His presence known.
