February 23rd, 2023 by Pastor Solley2 Cor 5:20-21 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
KJV
Who will you represent today and how will you represent them? Every individual is an ambassador of sorts. When I was a teenager and was about to leave the house my father would tell me to “Remember who you are and what your are.” He was telling me that I was a reflection on him, on our family, and on my God in everything I did every time I went out. Dad did not want to be embarrassed by my actions, our family to be embarrassed by my actions and God not to be embarrassed by my actions. As I look back I realize that the order may not have been right but the message was clear. I was an ambassador for my father and for my family, I represented them. Now in the greater picture I am an ambassador for God through Jesus Christ by the new birth. Every born again child of God is an ambassador for God and we represent our God and our savior in all that we do. We are representing Jesus Christ in our dress, in our speech, in our actions and in our attitudes everyday. How are we representing Jesus day by day? As His ambassadors we will be the only picture that others may ever have of Christ. How are we representing Jesus? Do others see Jesus in you and in me? Do they want what we have in Christ? We are ambassadors and we need to be true to our savior and represent Him well.
