Rom 5:9-10 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Rom 5:17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
KJV
Our next much more is found in verse seventeen, much more righteousness. We are able because of the much more grace we have received to live a life of righteousness before God. Not a life of sinless perfection in this world because we still have this flesh to deal with, but a life of living right before God and the world. We can be righteous and what a wonderful work of God that is. Think of what you are saved from day by day because of the much more of righteousness imparted to you. You don’t have to live like the world, talk like the world, dress like the world, act like the world and we would all do just that if not for Jesus Christ in our lives. We as Christians, because of Jesus, do not have to be overtaken by alcohol or drugs, do not have to be lose marriages and families, do not have to be beaten down by depression and so on. We are not perfect and never will be in this world but we do not have to suffer as the world does because they do not have Jesus Christ in their lives. We have much more.
