January 6th, 2023 by Pastor Solley1 Cor 2:1-5 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
KJV
Paul did all he could to demonstrate the power of God in his life for others to see including those at Corinth. We do not know how those individual believers made out. Did they come back to a right walk with the Lord, did they walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh, did they serve God with a pure heart, did God blesses them beyond measure? We are not told how those individual believers made out but we do know that Paul did his part, Paul did all that he could to show them the power of God in his life and what Christ did for him. Our we doing our part today to show others the power of God in our lives? What does our family see when they look at us? What about your grandchildren, what do they see? What do others see when they look at us? A Christian lost in the world like those at Corinth? Or one on fire for the Lord as Paul was? What others will do is still up to them but we need to do our part is showing them the power of God in our lives and what that power can do. Do you demonstrate the power of God in your life?
