16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

Our days on this earth are few as we see in verses fifteen and sixteen above. What gift can we give to our children and grandchildren that will be lasting? Many are searching for that type of gift this Christmas season as they have done in the past. But most gifts one receives at Christmas, special at the time, are forgotten and gone as time passes. How many Christmas gifts from your youth do you still have or use? What can we give that will be lasting? We can give the gift of Jesus Christ, we can give the gift of the gospel message. We can give the gift of faithfulness to the Lord. We can give the gift of sharing the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. We can give the gift of Jesus Christ and He is the gift that will last. I find that the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting. Why not give that gift as it was given to you? What I remember the most about Christmas time as I was growing up is that Jesus Christ was in our home and not just at Christmas time, Jesus was in our home all of the time. Why not give the gift that will last?
