December 1st, 2022 by Pastor Solley2 Thess 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
KJV
This the other command to not be weary. To obey this command one needs to look up for our redemption draweth neigh. (James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.) We also need to look deep, deep into the Word of God and in prayer. When Jesus was wearied He went to the Word of God and prayer. (Matt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. ; Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.) A third look this morning that can help us escape weariness is to look out. Look out and be a help to those in need. (Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.) When we are burdened it is a help to us and others when we serve and are busy about service. It seems we are more likely to withdraw and be alone when we are weary and that will only add to our weariness. We should be even more active at those times when we are wearied in mind, soul and spirit and not less. Seems like a contradiction I know but it is not. Being a servant, being busy for the Lord will help us put aside our own weariness. Jesus was wearied at times, Jesus went deep into the well of prayer and the Word of God, Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven, and Jesus also kept busy serving. Look out and serve and see your own burdens get smaller and smaller and that weariness pass.
