November 22nd, 2022 by Pastor Solley1 Cor 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
KJV
What victory did God grant you yesterday that you need to thank Him for this morning? In context this passage is speaking of death and our victory over death by the blood of the Lamb of God. But there are many other victories that we experience each and every day and many of them we may not even be aware of. I drove many miles yesterday through heavy traffic in serving the Lord and each one of them without incident. Did I stop to thank the Lord for safety on the highway? I will do other things today that are part of the ministry, will I stop and thank the Lord for safety today? Satan would destroy every born again child of God but how often do we thank our God for granting victory and protecting us? Satan will set temptations before the child of God today and where will we find the strength to walk away from them? Satan will try and place doubt and fear in the mind of the child of God today and where will we find that peace that passes all understanding? There is a battle going on today just as there was yesterday and where will we find the victory? The victory is always found in Jesus Christ and yet how few times we stop and give Him thanks. Give thanks to God today for the victory He gave you yesterday and the many He will give today as well.
