2 And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

Yesterday we spoke of prayer, today of one who tries to hinder our prayers. The battle we are in as born again believers in Christ is constant and fierce and one way Satan does try and resist us is in hindering our prayers. Prayers offered up are heard at once and Satan can do nothing about that. But what of prayers he can keep us from praying? The Bible tells us that we “Have not because ye ask not.” How can Satan keep us from praying? What if like Daniel our answer to prayer seems to be delayed? The thought can come into our mind that our God is not listening or does not care and that can hinder our prayer life. What if like Paul the answer is no and we will be given grace to carry us through? The thought can come into our mind that God is being unjust with is and withholding something we know we deserve. What if we are so busy we put prayer aside and things still work out? The thought can come into our mind that we can do things on our own without prayer. Satan has many ways of resisting the child of God and keeping us from praying. But don’t allow Satan to have that victory. Pray my brothers and sisters in Christ, pray. When you feel like praying, pray. When you don’t feel like praying, pray. When you need to pray, pray. When you think you don’t need to pray, pray more. Don’t allow Satan the victory, pray, pray, pray.
