Eph 5:15-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
KJV
I was able to go to a revival service last evening and the evangelist spoke of time during the message and of wasted time. This is not the passage he used but these verses came to mind this morning as I was thinking about the message. Many people who claim to be Christians today also say that they have a difficult time understanding what the will of God is for their lives. I believe there is a direct connection between understanding what the will of God is for us and the time we give to the Lord. Time spent in His Word, time spent in prayer, time spent in meditating upon the things of God. If we spend little time with God we will have little understanding of God. If we have little understanding of God we will have little understanding of His will for us. It often comes down to time. I have people tell me they don’t have time to read their Bible, time to pray, life is so busy for them. Life is busy for all of us and yet all of us have been given the same about of time. The same amount of days in a year, hours in a day, minutes in an hour. Some however make time for the most important of things and that spending time with our God each day. When it seems we have little understanding we just need to make better use of our time, redeem some time and spend that time with God.
