Ps 34:1-7 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
KJV
How often do you stop and thank the Lord for all the things that He has done, is doing, and will do for you? David said that “his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” It is not that David had an easy life all of the time so he found it easy to praise the Lord. Yes, David was king, David lived in a palace, David gained riches and such. But David also had his battles to fight. David faced the giant, had family troubles, had the burden of the throne of Israel, David had many troubles and trials. But what he found was the Lord always was there for him. David looked to the Lord and was delivered, saved from all his troubles. David had reason to praise the Lord. Do you have reason to praise the Lord today? We all know that answer is yes. Jesus died for you on the cross. Praise Him for that. If you have repented of sin and turned to Jesus and Jesus alone for salvation, if you are covered by the blood, Jesus saved you. Praise Him for that. How any times has Jesus comforted you? Praise Him for that. How many times has Jesus delivered you from trouble and fear? Praise Him for that. If you are saved Jesus will never leave or forsake you. Praise Him for that. How often do you stop and thank the Lord for all the things that He has done, is doing, and will do for you? David said that “his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
