KJV
How often do we wonder about things in this life? Many are the times when we look at circumstances that surround us and wonder. I often look at things and wonder “Why now?” Or “Why him?” When those who are apart from Christ wonder about things it often leads to deep depression, alcohol, drugs and the like. But for the Christian when we wonder it should move us closer to the Lord. Notice the first six verses of Psalm seventy one. (Ps 71:1-6 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. 2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. 3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. 4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man. 5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth. 6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.) As born again believers we draw our strength from the Lord. When we trust the Lord it takes wonder away, we just trust in the truth that Jesus does all things well. Some things that we may naturally wonder about we need place on the altar of prayer and leave in His capable hands. When we do that people begin to wonder about us, verse seven above, but it is a good wonder because we have found a strong refuge.
