KJV
A light shining in the darkness, a Son light ray of hope. That is what we need today, the Son of God giving us hope in this dark work. The word shined is found only three times in the New Testament and each time it is used it is followed by great joy. The first time is in Acts chapter nine when suddenly around Saul who we know as Paul a great light shined. That was the light of the gospel and the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and Paul was saved that day. The second time is in Acts chapter twelve when in the darkness of a prison cell and light shined and Peter was set free. The third times is in our text this morning. What a blessing to know that the light of the gospel is still being shined in hearts today, people are still being saved and still being set free. We may not be set free from a prison cell as Peter was but we are set free from the shackles of sin if we walk in the light with Jesus Christ. Praise God a light is still being shined today.
