Est 9:28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.

Purim was a day for the Jews to remember what the Lord had done for them in delivering them from the death sentence of Haman. Today in the United States we remember those who have fought in all the wars to protect our freedom and way of life, Memorial Day. To have a Memorial Day is a good thing, to honor those who have died on the battlefield both at home and abroad is a proper thing. It is also good and proper to remember what Jesus has done for us today. We have one who died so we might have life. We have one who lives so we can have abundant life. It is proper that we remember Jesus today as well. Have a happy Memorial Day.
