Matt 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
KJV
It is well that there is one who never changes, who understands every trial and burden, who is that rock on which we can depend and is always with us. The promise of verse twenty is given in the context of service but applies to all who know Jesus Christ at all times. (Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.) Let us rejoice in the blessed truth that Jesus is always near. On the most troubled sea we can experience a calm when we remember that Jesus is with us. In the darkest of night we can walk in the light when we remember that Jesus is with us. All that have trusted in Him as personal savior can have joy in the most trying of times when it is remembered that Jesus is always near. Notice that this promise continues until the end of the world. Why not beyond? Because then we will always be near Him through all eternity.
