For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.

As we witness the things taking place on the world scene and in our country as well we look for the return of Jesus in the air to call us out. But while we wait for His sure return we look also for guidance in what we need to be doing. Yesterday we noted that we need to seek the Lord more and more. We also need to stand together with those of like precious faith. The Bible does tell us that we are stronger when we stand together. (Eccl 4:9-12 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.) To find this strength we must be willing to do two things. One, put aside all petty differences and walk in love and forgiveness. (Eph 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.) This is not speaking about doctrine and we are not to compromise in that area. But some things that divide can be set aside and we can love and forgive in the same way Christ forgave and forgives us. Second, assemble together. (Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.) The day approaching is our current day. We need to be in the house of God more and not less today as so many seem to think. What are you doing when you decide not to be in church? Is that more important than Jesus is to you and where He wants you to be? Is the strength you forfeit because you forsake the house of God and the people of God worth it?
