15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Today we take great comfort in the fact that God will answer our prayers. (Verse 15) So often today our voices go unheard. Try to end a contract and talk to someone over the phone who works for a large company and you find your voice is unheard. Try and tell a doctor how you feel and often they tell you how you feel. Order something and when it arrives it is not what you asked for. Even our elected officials seem most of the time unconcerned with what we say. So often our voices seem to go unheard. Not so when we talk to the Lord. The Bible assures us in many places that God hears and answers our prayers. According to the book of Revelation our prayers are offered up in heaven and kept there as well. Someone, our God, hears our voice. The Bible never says God will do all that we ask in the way that we ask, but our God does hear and our God does answer. And notice also that our God will never leave us alone, He will be with us in times of trouble. What more can we ask for? A just, righteous, and holy God, a God who does all things well, a God who cannot lie, hears my prayers. This also should move us to be more given to prayer.
