KJV
This verse from our devotions yesterday speaks of the greatness of our God, of His power, of His wisdom, of His creation. How blessed one is when they trust the one who made all things. There is another verse I would draw your attention to this morning. The English word hangeth found in Job 26:7 is found only one other place in the Bible. (Gal 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:) Consider this. The very same one who created all things, who holds all things together, who hung the earth upon nothing was willing to hang on a cross for you and me. That very same one was willing to shed His precious blood as a sacrifice for our sin. The first time the word hangeth is used points to God’s mighty power, the second and last time the word hangeth is used points to His mighty love. It causes me to bow my head in prayer and thank Jesus when I see that the only thing more powerful than His creative power is His love for me in salvation. The one who hung the earth on nothing was willing to hang on a cross for me and you. Think about that.
