I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

From yesterday we find that not every one will enter into the secret place that we find in this Psalm. In the Old Testament not all had access to the Holy of Holies, the place of the presence of God was secret from most. But today all have access to the secret place. How was this access made available? Only through Jesus Christ, so today let us stress the one that grants us access. Today we can have a boldness to enter into the secret place. (Heb 10:19-20 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;) Now because of Jesus all who are born again can stand boldly before the Mercy Seat within the secret place that we may receive the help we need each and everyday. (Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.) When Psalm 91 was given only the High Priest could enter in and he represented the people. Today Jesus is our High Priest and he beckons us to enter in through His precious shed blood. (1 Peter 1:18-19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:) Before we look at all the blessings that are found in the secret place let us give thanks to the one who grants us access and if you are not sure you are born again this morning look to that precious Lamb of God for the salvation you so desperately need today.
