Phil 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Heb 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
KJV
This is the last day to look back, tomorrow we start to look ahead. Let the sorrows, the failures, the setbacks of the last year remain behind and begin to move forward for the Lord in 2022. Many people will start new things tomorrow, New Year’s resolutions they are called, and we know many of them will not be kept. But let us make some for the Lord and let us keep them. Let us determine to grow in the Lord more than in the past year. Let us determine to be a brighter light for the Lord more than in the past year. Let us determine to be a prayer warrior more than in the past year. Let us leave all things that hinder us spiritually behind us just as we see the old year behind us and press for the mark as we see in Phil 3:14. Let us be a runner for the Lord as we see in Heb 12:1. Let us more than at any other time in our lives look unto Jesus in 2022.
