Another gift that we are given this morning that many do not use. The Holy Spirit within so that we can know the things of God, so that we can come to an understanding of spiritual things. So many times over the years I have had those who had recently been saved tell me that they can now read and understand the Bible. That they read the Bible before but now they can understand and the reason for that is the Holy Spirit within. But how many who profess to be saved neglect this gift by not reading their Bible daily, by not meditating upon the Word of God? So many who have been saved a long time so they say have little or no understanding of the Bible, are still just babes in Christ as the Apostle charged those at Corinth. But that does not need to be if we just use the gift we have been given. Determine as we see a New Year approaching to spend time in the Bible each day. Spend time meditating on what you read and ask the Holy Spirit to give you something each day from His Word, use the gift within. I find it more important to read just a little and get something out of it than to read a lot and get nothing. I say that because I hear from some how many times they read through the Bible each year and I wonder do they take the time to stop and get something out of all that reading? Use the gift, allow the Holy Spirit to give you something each day, use the gift you have been given.
