2 Cor 2:13-14 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
KJV
There are many perhaps this Thanksgiving who seem to have no rest in their spirit. Many I know are dealing this Thanksgiving with the loss of loved ones and even though they have the assurance that those ones are in heaven it is still the first Thanksgiving they will spend without them. Others are dealing with major illnesses and they do not know what another year will hold for them. Others are awaiting test results and they wonder what may be coming. Others are facing financial difficulties with rising costs and may even lose jobs because of government and unlawful mandates. I know missionaries being forced off the mission field and they wonder what will take place next. Many feel no rest in their spirit today. But now we look to the God who has promised us victory in Christ Jesus, the God “Which always causeth us to triumph in Christ”. Look to that one this Thanksgiving and thank Him for the victory that is ahead. There is nothing in this world that can defeat the born again believer in Christ. When we leave this world because of illness we receive the greatest victory. When we don’t know where the next paycheck is going to come from He has promised to provide. When we look at the dark clouds surrounding us He always breaks through with a glorious light. When you might say that you have no rest in your spirit look to the one who will always cause you to triumph in Christ.
