Ps 118:14-17 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
KJV
We also can be found rejoicing when we speak about the things of the Lord. Have you taken note of what dominates most conversation today even among born again believers? It is about the virus, or the government, or the economy, or the evil that is taking over the world, or this or that problem, but it never seems to be about the things of God. What would happen if we talked about our Lord, about the good things Christ has done for us, the good things Christ is doing for us and the good things that Christ will do for us? What would happened of we just talked and focused on spiritual things? This preacher thinks his spirits would be lifted and he would be encouraged. I know we can’t ignore the world and the problems of life, we must watch and we must warn, that is Bible. But do we need be dominated by those things, isn’t there a balance we can find? Surely there is. I find it interesting that the very next Psalm in order is focused on the Word of God and thus the good things of God. Let us not be dominated by the dark news of our day, let us not ignore it, but let us also speak and meditate upon the good things of God.
