Ps 118:7-9 The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.
Ps 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
KJV
Another way to be found rejoicing today is to be sure you are trusting in the right one to take care of you in these uncertain times. Yesterday we noted that our feet must be placed on the right foundation, today give in and trust that foundation. I was able to make those visits I spoke of yesterday and here is what I found. Those in the most dire of circumstances were also those at the greatest peace. Why? They were found trusting in the Lord yesterday and I am sure continuing to trust in the Lord today. It is better to trust in the Lord. David learned that by experience as we also can learn today. It is better to trust in the Lord. If you are standing on that solid rock then you know verse seven above to be true. When the Lord takes up your part, when you give all to our precious savior in prayer, when we trust, we will see consistent victory over the problems of life and the enemy of our faith. No, it does not mean we will be delivered from every trial, it does not mean we get what we want all of the time, but it does mean that the peace of God will rule in our heart because we are trusting the one upon whom we stand. I can rejoice today because I can trust Jesus and so can you.
