Song 7:12-13 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.
13 The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
KJV
There are times when our minds drift toward heaven and what awaits the believer in Christ. “Let us see if the vine flourish” is the invitation given in verse twelve and the answer comes in verse thirteen. Surly it does. Think thins morning dear ones of what God has in store for them that love Him, for those who have received Jesus Christ as their savior, for those whose sins have been washed away by the precious blood of Jesus shed upon that cross. There are all manner of pleasant fruits laid up for the redeemed in heaven. No pain, no sorrow, no sickness, no death. What pleasant fruits those are. No more sin, the former things passed away. What pleasant fruits those are. Standing in the presence of the one who loves us so much that He came into this world to die for us. What pleasant fruit that is. A mansion prepared. What pleasant fruit that is. It does one good to think of heaven, but only if that one is born again. There is only one way to enjoy this pleasant fruit and that is to come to Jesus as a sinner, confess that sin, ask for forgiveness and receive Jesus Christ as your savior. Are you looking forward to pleasant fruit today?
