Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me.
Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.
Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.

Who can you trust today? So many people place their trust in the wrong people, in the wrong institutions and end up deeply hurt and disappointed. Our nation has changed in ways that few thought possible just a few years ago. People seem willing to turn over their freedom to every whim of government without ever considering what they may be called upon to give up next. One certainly cannot trust the news media to tell the truth. Who can you trust today? The only one you have ever been able to truly trust, put your trust in the Lord. Every child of God reading this knew where that question was leading, but do we really trust in the Lord as we should? There are some points to look at in this Psalm that show if we are trusting the Lord or not. First, are you ashamed of the Lord? Most reading this will say no but if that is true then this will be true as well. You will speak up for Christ? You will praise the name of Christ? You will take every opportunity to be in the presence of the Lord. So, how many people have you talked to about Jesus in the past few weeks? How many people have heard you give testimony of the good things Christ has done for you in the past few weeks? How often do you choose to come into the presence of the Lord giving Him you undivided attention? One should never be ashamed of the one they trust and if you truly trust the Lord people should know by your actions and words. (More from this Psalm tomorrow.)
